Laurel Crest Announces New Executive Director

COLUMBIA, SC - August 16, 2012 - The residents and staff of Laurel Crest welcome Dan Smith as the new Executive Director of their community. Dan joins the Laurel Crest team with over 8 years of experience in senior living management. Dan has been with Life Care Services, an industry leader in senior living communities, since 2008 where he has previously worked in Ohio and North Carolina at two Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC).
Laurel Crest is a CCRC that opened August 1994. The community consists of 76 independent living apartments; 8 cottages, 16 assisted living suites, 6 suites for dementia care and memory support, a nursing center for 12 and a licensed home care agency.
The campus offers many amenities including the Three Rivers Room, fitness center, library, beauty/barber shop, campus-wide complimentary internet access, restaurant style dining, gardens and living spaces for socializing with friends.
The services and amenities include scheduled transportation services, weekly housekeeping, emergency medical system, 24 hour staffing and security, fully equipped kitchens, social and recreational activities, wireless internet, cable television, utilities, one meal per day in the Riverside Dining Room, maintenance and landscaping.
