2012 TOUR OF HOMES Award Winners

COLUMBIA, SC - September 14, 2012 - The Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia presents the 2012 TOUR OF HOMES – Columbia’s Largest Open House of New Homes for Sale. The annual scattered-site showing will offer five Featured Communities and 47 new homes located throughout the Greater Columbia area.
Thousands are expected to attend, and with good reason. This free event showcases a wide variety of home styles throughout the Columbia area from 21 of the Midland’s top builders. The TOUR OF HOMES is open Saturdays and Sundays, September 15 -16, 22-23, 29 & 30. Saturdays from Noon to 6:00 p.m and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia (HBAGC) is a non-profit professional trade association founded in 1957 for the purpose of maintaining high professional standards in the residential construction industry. Based in Columbia, SC, it is comprised of over 800 builder and associate firms representing over 7,500 industry professionals involved in home building, remodeling, multifamily construction, property management, subcontracting, design, housing finance, building product manufacturing and other aspects of residential and light commercial construction. The HBAGC is affiliated with the Home Builders Association of South Carolina and the National Association of Home Builders and is ranked by size in the top 25 of nearly 800 local Home Builders Associations in the country. During a typical year, residential construction accounts for about five cents of every dollar spent in the U.S. economy, making home building one of the largest and most influential industries in the country.
