Adult Only Series Proves Kids Aren’t the Only Ones Who Can Have Fun At The Museum

COLUMBIA, SC - September 21, 2012 - EdVenture Children’s Museum is proud to present “UnCorked” on Thursday, Oct 18 from 7-9 p.m. UnCorked will be the first EdVenture After Dark event, a fun and entertaining museum series that is exclusively for adults. UnCorked will set the stage for adults to celebrate the power of play as they engage in creative activities, music, and museum exploration throughout the evening.

All kids at heart are invited to join in on the fun as we pop the cork on pretentious wine tasting parties.  UnCorked features ‘corky’ ways to explore the aromas and flavors of wine. A Jelly Bean Wine Bar, Wine ice pops and a crafting station for making wine charms, cork art and bottle baubles will bring an element of curiosity and creativity to the evening.

Entertainment provided by DJ Jay Magic. Beer, Wine, and light hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Tickets are $20 per person for members and $25 per person for non-members and can be purchased by phone at 803-400-1162 or online at www.edventure.org. Proceeds benefit EdVenture’s educational programs and the “Yes, Every Child Annual Fund” which makes it possible for EdVenture to continue accessibility programs such as Family Nights, $1/person daily admission for families enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program(SNAP), subsidized tuition for Club EdVenture and Camp EdVenture, and educational outreach to neighborhood schools.
EdVenture After Dark is supported by Blue Cross Blue Shield and Ben Arnold Beverage Company.
