Randy Halfacre
COLUMBIA, SC - September 24, 2012 - Randy Halfacre, president/CEO of the Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center, has been appointed to the board of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. He was appointed by Mike Brenan, the board’s incoming chair, to represent the state’s local chambers and their president/CEOs. The board voted to approve the appointment Sept. 18.
“This is another acknowledgment of our Chamber’s progress, status, and statewide influence,” said Halfacre, who helped organize the MidState Chambers Coalition in 2010 to work on public policy issues affecting the 11-county MidState region. “It’s certainly an honor for me personally and great for our Chamber, because we’re now seen as a statewide leader.”
Halfacre’s term begins Oct. 1. He will serve through September 2013.
In July Halfacre was selected as the 2012 South Carolina Chamber Executive of the Year and was elected to the Carolina Association of Chamber Executives from South Carolina and North Carolina. His term on the CACCE board will expire in 2015.
