Lexington One promotes Scott

LEXINGTON, SC - October 18, 2012 - During the October 16, 2012 meeting
of the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees, the board
approved the promotion of Kimberly Johnson Scott to Coordinator for
Support Staff Quality and Development in Human Resources in the District
Office.
Scott, who currently serves as White Knoll High School assistant principal, will be responsible for support staff for the district.
She has 15 years of education experience and began her education career as a mathematics teacher at Irmo High School in School District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties in 1997. She was promoted to administrative assistant at Dutch Fork High School in 2000.
Scott joined Lexington One in 2003 as assistant principal at White Knoll High School for the 2003–2004 school year.
Scott received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, a master’s degree in educational administration and an educational specialist degree from the University of South Carolina. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in educational administration.
She is a member of the South Carolina Association for School Administrators, South Carolina Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, South Carolina Education Association and National Education Association.
