RCPL to Host Mayoral Forum on Homelessness

COLUMBIA, SC - March 3, 2010 - The Richland County Public Library, in partnership with United Way of the Midlands, Central Carolina Community Foundation and the Midlands Interfaith Homelessness Action Council, will host a mayoral forum on homelessness at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16 at the Main Library, 1431 Assembly St.
Listen to the candidates vying to become Columbia’s next mayor discuss the homelessness problem in the area. Hannah Horne, reporter and anchor with WIS TV, will serve as moderator. The forum will focus on the complex issue of homelessness in the community, and the candidates will offer their perspectives on what the city can and should do to address homelessness. All nine declared candidates have agreed to participate.
