Gary Raszewski, young and naïve, with college degree in hand, knew he wanted to be in sales. He loved his TR6 sports car and had heard to sell what you  love. "I am 53 and have been doing this since I had blond hair." The fact is Gary Raszewski has more experience in previously owned high-line cars than anyone in South Carolina. A cumulative 42 years' experience exists between him and his team at SouthCarolinaCars, and that's how they find the luxury car
people desire at prices generally lower than traditional dealers.

Raszewski, former sales manager for Philips Automotive, brings his experience and attentive eye for personal care to SouthCarolinaCars. "If you respect the customers, it is a lot easier to gain their confidence when making a high teens to mid- $30,000 decision," said Raszewski.

News about SouthCarolinaCars, An Automotive Gallery, is spreading throughout the Southeast, indeed, the nation. "We sell as many cars out of town as in," said Raszewski. "Raleigh last week, two from Charleston this week, Charlotte all the time, Atlanta, Greenville, the Southeast. We have even had people fly in from Los Angeles and Baltimore."

So, what's the secret to this mushrooming success? Balancing all that experience with integrity. "My mom raised me right. Be fair to all." Gary is grateful for his success and is a firm believer in integrity. "Experience and integrity must come in equal doses. I truly appreciate people considering doing business here, even if they don't buy. Everyone knows they are welcome to walk through and look."

A visit to SouthCarolinaCars is like going to an automotive gallery. The showroom is custom designed for comfortable viewing and provides a great place to sit in a luxury car, walk around it, and kick the tires if you must.

An automotive gallery is a refreshing concept in selling luxury pre-owned vehicles. As the company website proclaims, "BMWs, Mercedes, Porsches and other cars are works of art, and we display them as such. We sell special cars and think our clients should be treated well. You deserve to shop in the comfort of a gallery, not a smoldering parking lot."

Raszewski is keen on technology and its reach. A critical part of SouthCarolinaCars is its Internet sales division. Still, he offers a caveat. "I'm aware that  websites send a message. We have to be as good as our web site. We quickly discovered cars this special not only have regional appeal, but are also sought nationwide," said Raszewski.

Technology is driving business everywhere these days but word of mouth has its place and always will. "Referrals," said Raszewski, "are the best source of new business, and after the sale, customer service is how we get referrals, not just by selling a nice car."
When you get to SouthCarolinaCars, An Automotive Gallery, look for the fellow with the gray hair. And when you're ready, grip the wheel of your luxury car  and take it for a spin. Let the rubber hit the road, as they say.
